Danish creativity meets Chinese community at NOtCH11

This year‘s NOtCH, the Nordic-Chinese cross cultural festival, once again includes inspiring Danish elements.

With this years theme “Feedback”, where social resources from the residential area create things that can feedback to the community, Danish media artist Jacob Sikker Remin and design duo Hvass & Hannibal will work with local artists and community to give their input on the topic. Their ongoing work and final exhibition can be followed in the heart of Beijing in an old factory that has been turned into a creative space in one of the traditional neighboorhoods.

Jacob and Beijing Maxpace are working on a painting robot, an dynamic lighting installation called “Light Being” and a DIY open source synthesizer called CFO (Cheap Fat and Open). Hvass & Hannibal with Chinese designer Been to make an “pixel” urban farm installation, bringing urban village culture to the city.
